My name is Luc Dunn. I am a mechanical engineer and physicist, and my specialty has become designing large machinery from scratch. In May of 2018, I completed my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at NC State.
I am currently a Mechanical Specialist at S&B Engineers and Constructors.

Becoming a Mechanical Engineer
My Master's Degree allowed me to transition from being a career physics educator to a machine design engineer. It was quite a change in scenery!
I have a passion for learning, so I approach new challenges as a fun and engaging opportunity! In grade school, I taught myself HTML and Excel in college, and taught myself 3D modeling and 3D printing during my Master's Degree too!
My next path of study: the PE license!
I ♥ Physics!
I've always loved Physics, from momentum up to string theory! If anything, I have a tendency to over-analyze and collect too much information when tackling a problem. Years of Physics and Biomechanics studies and teaching has burned that habit into my firmware.
Programming and Tinkering
I've tinkered and taught myself so many things, just because learning to do something new is so fun for me! It's hard to keep track of them all, but some prominent detailed projects include custom 3D printed widgets for my home and office, Java-based android apps, Arduino, and Electromechanical devices.
In fact, I built this entire website from scratch!
