Family Man
Mostly, I love to spend time with my wife and daughter in my free time. Our number one family activity is going to the gym together.
My wife Sona just graduated as a Web Developer, so I sit with her while she works on her portfolio, and we go shopping and try new restaurants.
My daughter Carrie is 11 years old, and she is so good at playing violin. She loves to play board games, make papercraft things, and listen to music and talk engineering with me. It’s a happy family life for us.
Martial Artist
I love the martial arts. I am a 4th Dan black belt in Taekwon do, 2nd degree black belt in Hapki do, and I did Kendo and Judo for one year each.
I have never stopped practicing for the past 22 years, and hope I never will. I love the feeling I get after practicing my empty hand forms and sword forms.
My favorite proverb from martial arts: Be healthy like the river. The flowing water never gets very dirty, because it never stops moving. Be like the river. Keep moving, and stay healthy
Parkour - The Art of Movement
I started doing parkour with my friends almost 20 years ago, as a branch off of learning tumbling and extreme martial arts moves.
I love flipping too, but after meeting David Belle in Lisses, France and training there, I became a Parkour purist. He said, Et forte pour etre utilé. (Be strong, to be useful)
I prefer to move with purpose, quickly and smoothly, no matter what obstacles I face. It’s a great metaphor for how to live a fulfilling successful life.
